Base Salary

Responsibilities
- Design, develop, test, and deploy code for business stories and features.
- Maintain and enhance existing code to improve software and reduce technical debt.
- Research technical solutions for changing business needs and participate in team meetings.
- Manage individual project priorities, deadlines, and deliverables.
- Ensure the final product is performant, responsive, and high quality.
- Collaborate with senior technical team members, developers, technology teams, product teams, and business teams.
- Provide production support for payment and check-processing applications.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in computer science or a closely related discipline, or an equivalent combination of formal education and experience.
- At least 6–8 years of production support for check-processing applications within a financial institution, preferably with an item-processing system from FIS.
- Application development experience on data platforms using SQL, ETL tools, and object-oriented languages such as Java and Python.
- At least 6–8 years of development experience with complex SQL queries, JavaScript, and Linux or Windows shell scripting.
- Experience with Java and Java frameworks.
- Advanced knowledge of application, data, and infrastructure architecture disciplines.
- Experience installing, configuring, and troubleshooting Unix/Linux-based environments.
- Experience managing teams in Agile environments.
- Experience with Eclipse and IntelliJ IDE tools.
- Strong experience with Oracle Database, IBM DB2, and Microsoft SQL Server.
- Experience with application security and shell scripting.
- Preferred experience with web service development using REST/JSON and SOAP; Java Core, Enterprise Java, and Spring Framework; Spring Boot or Spring Cloud; Kubernetes or OpenShift; Message Queue or ActiveMQ; and JavaScript libraries or frameworks including jQuery and React.
- Ability to work in a process-oriented environment and function independently under pressure with attention to detail and initiative.
Benefits
- Four days per week onsite at an MUFG office or client site and one day per week remotely.
- Base pay ranges from $140k–$205k in New York/New Jersey and $140k–$188k elsewhere, depending on job-related knowledge, skills, experience, and location.
