Responsibilities
- Design and build scalable, reliable Tier-1 services for order planning and fulfillment optimization.
- Own architecture across distributed systems involving gRPC service meshes and Kafka event pipelines.
- Write production code in Kotlin and Java, ensuring correctness and performance.
- Lead design and code reviews to identify issues in latency-sensitive order flows.
- Drive reliability for mission-critical services through observability and incident prevention.
- Partner with Product, Data Science, and Operations to execute fulfillment optimization goals.
- Mentor engineers and create scalable technical mechanisms.
Requirements
- Proven experience designing and operating high-scale distributed systems.
- Excellent hands-on coding ability in Kotlin or Java.
- Deep understanding of system design, including API design and concurrency.
- Strong code review skills to identify issues in complex codebases.
- Experience with production-grade systems handling high QPS and large data volumes.
- Experience with event-driven architectures using Kafka at scale.
- Experience with multi-region systems and resilience engineering.
- Track record of technical leadership and mentoring senior engineers.
