Base Salary

$114k - $190k/yr

Responsibilities

Maintain existing backend order management applications and help build a next-generation trading platform.
Design, develop, optimize, and implement scalable and reliable software solutions.
Collaborate with product teams, architects, central technology functions, and wider stakeholders.
Develop APIs and write clean, robust, and maintainable code.
Perform unit testing, code reviews, refactoring, and software design activities.
Address low-latency development challenges and support the full product development lifecycle.
Maintain expert knowledge of relevant technologies, trends, and financial market technology.
Communicate complex technical information clearly and contribute to an inclusive, collaborative culture.

Financial industry experience building buy-side or sell-side trading systems.
More than 5 years of software engineering experience as an individual contributor.
Strong Java fundamentals, including JVM, multithreading, collections, and I/O.
Strong understanding of system architecture, software design, and low-latency development.
Experience with Java technology stacks, API development, Docker, and Kubernetes.
Experience with Git, Gradle or Maven, Linux or Unix, and relational database systems such as PostgreSQL.
Knowledge of software engineering principles including SOLID, DRY, and the Law of Demeter.
Practical experience with TDD and CI/CD practices.
Experience with Spring, Spring Boot, Redis, and Apache Kafka.
Familiarity with cloud platforms, ideally Microsoft Azure.
Bachelor’s or master’s degree in computer science, or an equivalent software engineering qualification.
Strong verbal and written communication, problem-solving, critical-thinking, and collaboration skills.

Competitive base salary of $113,900-$189,900 plus eligibility for the Annual Incentive Plan.
