Responsibilities
- Own end-to-end architecture and technical outcomes for one or more Genius POS platforms.
- Design payment capabilities, integrations, APIs, and secure partner ecosystem solutions.
- Lead adoption of AI-enabled merchant experiences, agentic workflows, AI assistants, and developer productivity tooling.
- Partner with product and engineering teams to guide technical decisions and architectural trade-offs.
- Establish reusable architecture patterns, influence cross-functional decisions, and mentor engineers.
- Drive platform convergence and technical enablement across multiple teams or platforms.
Requirements
- Proven experience as a Solution Architect, Principal Engineer, or Technical Lead with a strong software engineering foundation.
- Experience designing and delivering complex cloud-native platforms at scale.
- Deep expertise in payments and commerce technologies, including payment integrations, PCI-sensitive architectures, tokenization, API design, and secure partner integrations.
- Knowledge of microservices, event-driven systems, integration platforms, API management, observability, and DevOps practices across AWS and/or Azure.
- Experience applying conversational AI, agentic workflows, and AI-assisted development tools in real-world solutions.
- Ability to influence technical and business stakeholders, navigate ambiguity, communicate effectively, and mentor teams.
- Preferred experience with POS, payments, commerce platforms, PCI DSS, P2PE, omnichannel payments, foundation models, RAG architecture, agentic workflows, MCP tooling, and AI-assisted software development.
- Preferred experience driving architecture across multiple teams or platforms and building cloud-native distributed systems.
