Base Salary
$175k - $280k/yr
Responsibilities
- Build Sesame’s standalone companion iOS application as the foundation of a new consumer product category.
- Collaborate across engineering, design, and product teams to ship complex projects.
- Provide leadership on iOS development best practices and modern app design.
- Work with iOS, Android, and web engineers to define Sesame’s future mobile and web strategy.
Requirements
- Strong intuition and well-considered opinions about iOS app design and aesthetics.
- Experience creating delightful, design-forward applications.
- Proven technical leadership and repeated primary responsibility for shipping apps or major features to production.
- Strong motivation to ship high-quality products and understand user needs.
- Expertise building fast, ergonomic, and innovative iOS user interfaces.
- Expertise eliminating latency in complex iOS applications across networking, architecture, and the iOS SDK.
- Current knowledge of iOS UI/UX design patterns and the Apple release cycle.
- Extensive hands-on experience with the iOS application software development lifecycle, including build trains, test strategy, and modern UI architecture patterns.
- Preferred experience building advanced UI outside the standard SDK path.
- Preferred experience with real-time communications, including WebRTC, WebSockets, audio/video codecs, and compression protocols.
- Preferred expertise managing battery drain in complex media- or graphics-intensive applications.
- Preferred experience integrating Bluetooth Low Energy peripherals on iOS.
- Preferred Metal or other graphics and shader experience.
- Open-source iOS contributions or a strong personal portfolio of iOS applications is preferred.
- Experience building AI consumer products is preferred.
