Base Salary
$150k - $220k/yr
Responsibilities
- Build and maintain cross-platform software for Windows and Linux using C++ and Qt.
- Design network device discovery, data collection, network health monitoring, and device-management workflows.
- Implement and troubleshoot SNMP, SSH, ICMP, WMI, and related network and system-management protocols.
- Develop high-performance, concurrent C++ software that communicates with large numbers of devices.
- Design asynchronous workflows, optimize resource usage, and ensure reliability at scale.
- Create unit, integration, and system-level tests and maintain comprehensive test coverage.
- Collaborate with backend, UI, QA, and product teams on technical requirements and system design.
- Troubleshoot complex issues spanning application, operating-system, network, and customer environments.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Technology, or a related technical field.
- 7+ years of C++ development experience, including proficiency with C++14 or newer.
- Strong modern C++ skills and experience developing production-quality systems software.
- Proficiency with Qt and CMake.
- Experience developing for Windows, Linux/POSIX, and cross-platform environments.
- Strong understanding of multithreading, concurrency, and asynchronous programming.
- Experience with network programming and network protocols; SNMP knowledge is particularly valuable.
- Familiarity with SNMP, SSH, ICMP, WMI, or similar network and system-management technologies.
- Experience debugging across application, operating-system, and network layers.
- Ability to develop comprehensive test cases and test plans.
- Experience working with complex, operating-system-dependent and device-specific systems.
- Experience collaborating with cross-functional teams and working with highly critical systems.
