Responsibilities
- Partner with Inside Account Executives to identify customer needs, propose solutions, address objections, and support or exceed revenue targets.
- Deliver remote presentations, technical consultations, and product demonstrations explaining Nutanix solution features and benefits.
- Set up, configure, and maintain Nutanix solutions in hosted proof-of-concept environments to validate customer performance.
- Size and configure Nutanix solutions according to customer requirements.
- Collaborate with sales and channel teams on account plans, customer persona coverage models, and proposals.
- Lead technical sales activities and customer and partner engagements for assigned accounts, using senior Systems Engineer support when needed.
- Build long-term customer relationships, identify business opportunities, and act as a trusted technical advisor.
- Maintain Nutanix and at least one relevant industry certification.
Requirements
- 3–5 years of related experience in a high-tech sales environment, including customer-facing engineering experience such as systems engineering, IT consulting, or sales engineering.
- Strong understanding of application virtualization, server virtualization, containers, cloud-native applications, networking, storage, and platform performance and sizing.
- Understanding of technical sales techniques including needs analysis, objection handling, and business case development.
- Hands-on technical aptitude, continuous-learning orientation, and ability to explore new technologies and customer challenges.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to explain complex technical concepts to technical and non-technical audiences.
- Ability to collaborate with geographically distributed teams, manage multiple projects, prioritize urgency, and execute detailed action plans.
- Ability to plan and execute a successful proof of concept.
- Bachelor’s degree in computer science, engineering, or a related technical field, or relevant experience.
- Willingness to obtain and maintain Nutanix and relevant industry certifications.
- English-language ability is preferred.
