Responsibilities

Design, develop, and maintain scalable Python backend services, APIs, and application components.
Build and support cloud-native applications on AWS with attention to reliability, performance, security, and scalability.
Contribute to frontend applications using React and Angular.
Design RESTful APIs and work with distributed systems, microservices, and event-driven architectures.
Participate in architecture discussions, system design reviews, and technical decision-making.
Optimize application performance, observability, maintainability, and operational efficiency.
Troubleshoot production issues, perform root cause analysis, and implement sustainable solutions.
Use Cursor, Claude, GitHub Copilot, and similar AI-assisted tools for software design, development, testing, documentation, code review, and productivity.
Collaborate with Product, UX, QA, and Engineering teams to deliver end-to-end solutions.
Mentor team members through code reviews, technical guidance, and best-practice sharing.
Drive modernization initiatives and promote engineering excellence through automation and continuous improvement.

At least 6 years of professional software development experience.
Strong experience developing backend applications and services using Python.
Hands-on experience designing and building RESTful APIs.
Experience developing and deploying cloud-native applications on AWS.
Working knowledge of React and Angular.
Strong understanding of software architecture, distributed systems, and application design patterns.
Experience with SQL databases, data modeling, and performance optimization.
Experience with CI/CD pipelines, automated testing, and Agile development methodologies.
Proficiency with AI-powered development tools such as Cursor, Claude, GitHub Copilot, or equivalent assistants.
Experience applying AI tools to code generation, debugging, testing, documentation, code reviews, solution design, and productivity optimization.
Ability to validate AI-generated solutions for quality, security, scalability, and maintainability.
Preferred experience with microservices, event-driven architectures, legacy modernization, SaaS applications, observability, monitoring, reliability engineering, technical leadership, and mentoring.
Strong problem-solving, communication, collaboration, and engineering judgment skills.
