Responsibilities
- Assess customer systems, APIs, data constraints, dependencies, risks, and feasibility during presales discovery.
- Estimate integration effort and assumptions for statements of work and classify requests as reusable integrations, configuration, custom builds, product changes, or roadmap items.
- Design, build, configure, test, and ship integrations involving EHRs, identity providers, data warehouses, scheduling systems, internal tools, APIs, HL7v2, FHIR, SFTP, and webhooks.
- Set up agents and agentic workflows that connect customer data with clinical and operational workflows.
- Own technical testing, support customer user acceptance testing, run technical go-lives, and monitor and iterate on integrations after launch.
- Build configurable and reusable components, maintain shared connector libraries and runbooks, and document implementations for future deployment and support.
- Act as the technical lead with customer IT, security, and integration teams and provide technical input for compliance, privacy, security, and IT assurance reviews.
- Review statements of work and project documentation, control scope changes, and route core product changes or live defects to the appropriate internal teams.
Requirements
- At least 3 years of experience building integrations in healthcare or enterprise SaaS.
- Hands-on experience with HL7v2 and FHIR, plus REST APIs and authentication using OAuth and SAML/OIDC.
- Production coding experience in Python or TypeScript.
- Experience with EHRs such as Epic, Oracle Health, or athenahealth.
- A track record of turning one-off integration builds into reusable components.
- Ability to assess feasibility, estimate effort and risk, communicate technical constraints, and challenge unsupported commitments.
