Responsibilities
- Deliver features critical to Xero’s success in the UK and respond to customer needs
- Independently solve complex problems across Xero’s products
- Navigate regional requirements and global roadmaps to maximize business value
- Collaborate with product owners and globally distributed teams to design, build, and ship solutions
- Contribute to code quality, design discussions, and the long-term ownership of software
- Coach and mentor team members while leading by example
Requirements
- Experience with resilient software design and agile development
- Ability to solve complex problems across products and quickly learn unfamiliar codebases and domains
- Ability to navigate complex stakeholder environments and build consensus across globally distributed teams
- Commitment to high-quality, robust, scalable engineering practices
- Experience coaching and mentoring colleagues in code quality, design discussions, and professional growth
- Strong communication skills and the ability to engage stakeholders in a high-visibility environment
