Base Salary

$175k - $200k/yr

Responsibilities

  • Develop tools and conduct research to deepen market understanding and analyze strategy performance.
  • Manage trading risk and debug challenging infrastructure issues.
  • Fine-tune algorithmic strategies in real time to optimize performance as market conditions change.
  • Study Jump’s extensive trading infrastructure and collaborate with quantitative trading teams.
  • Build market knowledge and contribute analytical and technical expertise within the centralized trading desk.

Requirements

  • At least 3 years of programming or software engineering experience.
  • Programming experience with Python and/or C++.
  • Good understanding of Linux administration.
  • Good knowledge of IP networks.
  • Strong analytical, critical-thinking, pattern-recognition, and decision-making abilities.
  • Self-driven curiosity and willingness to learn about high-frequency trading and financial markets, including microstructure and macroeconomics.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills and ability to travel and network within a global organization.
  • Familiarity with statistics or machine learning is preferred.
  • Knowledge of electronics or computer architecture is preferred.
