Responsibilities
- Plan, build, test, review, and support scalable software solutions.
- Break down work, participate in code reviews, manage source control, and contribute to build processes.
- Develop backend services in .NET and frontend applications using Angular or React.
- Build and enhance event-driven and distributed systems for high-availability, low-latency dealership platforms.
- Tune application and database performance and contribute to scalable system design.
- Use monitoring, logging, observability, containers, infrastructure as code, and CI/CD practices.
- Collaborate across the ACIL tribe, the wider ACIL Group, and the carsales organization.
- Share technical knowledge, provide and receive feedback, and contribute to team culture.
Requirements
- Strong experience with backend development in .NET ecosystems.
- Strong frontend development experience with Angular or React.
- Proven experience building event-driven and distributed systems, including patterns such as CQRS, Event Sourcing, and message queues.
- Strong knowledge of the AWS cloud platform.
- Applied knowledge of DDD, TDD, and modern engineering practices.
- Experience tuning performance at application and database levels.
- Knowledge of applied AI tooling, including AI and agentic systems, for productivity and solution design.
- Familiarity with DevOps practices including CI/CD, containers, and infrastructure as code.
- Experience with monitoring, logging, and observability tools.
- Successful candidates must complete a National Police Record check and have full-time Australian working rights.
