Responsibilities
- Design and develop scalable backend services, APIs, and microservices for assessment and exposure-management capabilities.
- Research, analyze, and develop assessment content and logic against industry standards.
- Handle customer escalations and resolve assessment findings.
- Map assessment content to relevant compliance frameworks.
- Design and implement data pipelines and ETL processes to ingest, normalize, and correlate data at scale.
- Build data-processing systems integrating assessment logic with multiple data sources and third-party providers.
- Implement database solutions using RDBMS/SQL, NoSQL databases, and distributed caching.
- Troubleshoot distributed architectures, resolve performance issues, and optimize reliability.
- Collaborate cross-functionally on integrated solutions and technical decisions.
- Own technical delivery from design through production deployment.
- Use AI technologies and LLMs to improve workflows, development, and engineering efficiency.
Requirements
- 10+ years of production experience building and maintaining large-scale distributed systems.
- Advanced programming expertise in object-oriented languages such as Golang, Python, or Java.
- Proven experience designing scalable REST APIs, microservices, and distributed communication patterns.
- Experience with container technology and/or Kubernetes.
- Strong cloud infrastructure knowledge and understanding of concurrency, parallel processing, and scalability.
- Proficiency with message queues such as Kafka or similar technologies.
- Versatility across RDBMS/SQL, distributed data stores, and caching solutions.
- Expertise troubleshooting complex distributed architectures.
- Knowledge of engineering best practices, including testing, code reviews, and resilient architecture design.
- Strong foundation in algorithms, data structures, and technical problem-solving.
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or Engineering, or equivalent professional experience.
- Experience using AI technologies to enhance decision-making and streamline workflows.
- Research mindset with knowledge of authoritative sources for security configuration guidance.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively, communicate complex technical concepts, and provide influential insights across teams.
- Preferred experience includes Golang, Cassandra, Kafka, Elasticsearch, Redis, cybersecurity, vulnerability management, compliance, large-scale data platforms, distributed ETLs, data pipelines, machine learning, AI implementation, LLMs, and agentic workflows.
