Responsibilities
- Set direction and priorities for the team and ensure delivery of high-quality software aligned with platform strategy and customer needs.
- Lead, coach, and develop engineers through clear goals, effective delegation, and technical guidance.
- Participate in design discussions, review designs and critical code, and contribute hands-on when appropriate.
- Collaborate with peer engineering teams, QA, and customer-facing organizations to coordinate platform delivery.
- Represent the team in technical discussions and reviews and contribute to broader platform-level decisions.
Requirements
- 16+ years of industry experience building complex system software, with proven people leadership and a strong delivery record.
- Experience developing firmware on pre-silicon and silicon platforms, preferably Arm-based systems.
- Strong technical judgment, including assessing trade-offs, managing technical risk, and sustaining long-term software quality.
- System software experience for infrastructure-scale platforms and features such as RAS, virtualization, power management, BMC, telemetry, debugging, and diagnostics.
- Understanding of software development processes, testing strategies, continuous integration, and release considerations.
- Strong communication and cross-team collaboration skills.
- Preferred qualifications include server or infrastructure platform experience, customer- or production-facing experience, Arm system architecture knowledge, OS fundamentals, bootloader and device driver experience, open-source or upstream community experience, and experience working in globally distributed teams.
