Responsibilities

  • Develop and enhance KDB+-based infrastructure supporting Q and other languages, including Java, C#, and Python.
  • Improve database architecture for low latency, fast ingestion, and high availability.
  • Build tools for data acquisition, data loading, data quality, and production support across asset classes and data types.
  • Develop modularized, microservice-based components.
  • Support a globally distributed multi-terabyte orders and executions platform processing billions of daily orders.

Requirements

  • Strong KDB+ knowledge.
  • Python scripting knowledge.
  • Basic knowledge of Unix/Linux operating systems.
  • Knowledge of data modeling concepts, replication, and ETL products such as Informatica.
  • Version-control experience, preferably with Git.
  • Bachelor's degree.
  • Strong communication skills and ability to work effectively in geographically dispersed teams.
  • Integrity, ownership, teamwork, motivation, and willingness to expand technical and business knowledge.
