Responsibilities
- Develop and debug DDR initialization and runtime driver sequences.
- Debug and triage system-level DDR issues including memory corruption, bit flips, memory lockups, memory leaks, cache corruption, and CPU hangs.
- Run system-level validation tests on mobile systems and enhance or develop test cases.
- Analyze large amounts of validation data and identify issue patterns.
- Own and drive multiple chipsets in the DDR technology area.
- Collaborate with performance, PHY, controller design, software, and hardware teams.
- Support DDR stability, power, and performance qualification through product development and commercial launch.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Information Systems, Computer Science, or a related field plus 3+ years of software engineering or related experience; alternatively, a master's degree plus 2+ years or a PhD plus 1+ year.
- 2+ years of academic or work experience with a programming language such as C, C++, Java, or Python.
- Relevant embedded systems, DDR technology, firmware, software driver, platform driver, or board bring-up experience.
- Strong system-level debugging expertise, including issues such as bit flips, memory corruption, cache corruption, and CPU hangs.
- Knowledge of processor architecture, CPU architecture, SoC systems, RTOS, core BSP driver development and debugging, and JTAG.
- Strong understanding of system-level test methodologies and mobile-system validation.
- DDR technology experience involving memory controllers, PHY, and DRAMs is desirable.
