Base Salary

$143k - $304k/yr

Responsibilities

  • Advance the capabilities of Kubernetes and auxiliary components on Azure.
  • Improve quality of service for Microsoft Azure Kubernetes Service.
  • Accelerate development velocity for engineers.
  • Deliver continuous improvements to team processes and codebases while balancing pragmatism with long-term vision.
  • Build automation to prevent or remediate service problems before they become production incidents.
  • Leverage and integrate AI tools into engineering workflows.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or a related technical field and 6+ years of technical engineering experience with coding, or equivalent experience.
  • Coding experience in languages including C, C++, C#, Java, JavaScript, or Python.
  • Ability to meet Microsoft, customer, and government security screening requirements, including the Microsoft Cloud Background Check.
  • Preferred: master’s degree and 8+ years of experience, or bachelor’s degree and 12+ years of experience, or equivalent experience.
  • Preferred: at least 8 years of commercial software development experience.
  • Experience building, shipping, and operating reliable distributed solutions.
  • Experience with containers and Kubernetes.
  • Experience with Golang, Linux, and GitHub Copilot or another AI agent in design and implementation workflows.
  • Ability to engage in site-reliability engineering practices.

Benefits

  • The typical U.S. base-pay range is USD $142,800–$274,800 per year, with a separate range for certain San Francisco Bay Area and New York City metropolitan area locations.
  • Certain roles may be eligible for benefits and other compensation.
  • The position will be open for a minimum of five days, with applications accepted on an ongoing basis until filled.
