Responsibilities
- Partner with Sales Executives and clinician-led Sales Solution Architects to lead complex pre-sales engagements.
- Serve as the primary technical contact for customer IT, security, architecture, and digital health stakeholders.
- Architect integration strategies involving Smart on FHIR, APIs, healthcare data exchange, FHIR, HL7, and enterprise systems.
- Explain data normalization, transformation, downstream healthcare data usage, and AI model integration, governance, and oversight.
- Lead complex enterprise deals involving EHR integrations and digital ecosystem expansion.
- Own technical due diligence, security reviews, vendor risk assessments, RFP/RFI responses, and penetration testing discussions.
- Design and present solution architectures, system diagrams, data flows, integration specifications, and deployment models.
- Discuss authentication, authorization, identity management, OAuth2, SSO, and role-based access controls.
- Partner with Product, Engineering, Security, and Implementation teams to validate feasibility, constraints, and scope.
- Support implementation planning, integration timelines, technical prerequisites, post-sale handoff, and technical enablement materials.
- Identify and mitigate data quality, integration, interoperability, security, and deployment risks during the sales cycle.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in computer science, information systems, engineering, healthcare informatics, nursing, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
- At least 5 years of experience discussing complex technical integrations, architecture, AI-enabled solutions, and workflow integration with large healthcare customers.
- Experience answering enterprise customer questions about security, privacy, and compliance.
- Strong understanding of software development concepts, API-driven integrations, service-based architectures, and embedded application workflows.
- Demonstrated experience with FHIR, HL7, and Smart on FHIR integrations.
- Clear communication of complex technical concepts to technical and non-technical stakeholders, with strong presentation and client-facing communication skills.
- Strong written and verbal communication, problem-solving, organization, and documentation skills.
- Consultative, customer-focused approach and comfort working through ambiguity in complex technical environments.
- Relevant technical certifications in cloud, security, interoperability, or integration technologies are preferred.
- Ability to travel up to 25% to client sites and company-sponsored events.
