Responsibilities
- Lead software development projects with limited guidance from senior developers.
- Architect and design complex software solutions.
- Mentor and guide junior developers.
- Analyze and optimize code and system performance.
- Clarify ambiguous requirements and define edge cases, constraints, and failure modes.
- Develop and consume APIs, including AI APIs, to integrate AI capabilities into existing software.
- Validate AI-generated code for security, performance, correctness, and maintainability.
- Use AI coding assistants in an iterative AI-human development process.
- Write modular, testable code and participate in unit and integration testing.
- Participate in requirements and technical specification reviews.
- Collaborate with Development, QA, Operations, and Product teams.
- Work within documented change controls and compliance-sensitive environments.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or a related field, or equivalent experience.
- At least 7 years of software development experience.
- Strong experience with .NET/C# and React.
- Experience with Python, AWS, Oracle, PostgreSQL, and Azure DevOps.
- Experience with unit and integration testing frameworks and AWS deployment.
- Deep knowledge of software architecture and system design.
- Experience working from functional and technical requirements, including incomplete or ambiguous requirements.
- Understanding of API contracts, interface design, versioned contracts, and backward compatibility.
- Experience using AI coding assistants such as GitHub Copilot or Cursor.
- Ability to evaluate AI-generated code for security, performance, correctness, and maintainability.
- Understanding of prompt engineering fundamentals, AI limitations, and hallucination risks.
- Familiarity with observability and logging best practices.
- Experience in compliance-sensitive or regulated environments, including auditability, traceability, and documented change controls.
- Experience working effectively in small, cross-functional feature teams.
- Business-level ability to read, write, speak, and understand English.
