Responsibilities
- Design, develop, debug, and maintain secure, high-quality software solutions across multiple technical areas.
- Develop Python full-stack applications and troubleshoot complex technical problems.
- Create architecture and design artifacts and ensure software implementations meet design constraints.
- Analyze and visualize large, diverse datasets to improve software applications and systems.
- Use Docker, Kubernetes, AWS, and AWS EKS to develop and deploy containerized applications in production.
- Use enterprise-authorized AI-assisted development tools for coding, refactoring, testing, troubleshooting, and documentation.
- Validate AI-generated outputs through peer review, automated testing, and secure coding practices.
- Promote responsible AI usage and share reusable engineering patterns with peers and the broader engineering community.
Requirements
- At least 3 years of Python full-stack development experience.
- Proficiency in one or more programming languages and experience with modern programming and database querying languages.
- Experience developing, debugging, and maintaining code in a large corporate environment.
- Production experience with Docker, Kubernetes, and container orchestration.
- Exposure to cloud-native development and AWS services, particularly AWS EKS.
- Understanding of application resiliency, security, and software development lifecycle practices.
- Hands-on experience with enterprise-authorized AI-assisted software development tools and the ability to critically evaluate and refine their outputs.
- Understanding of responsible AI use, including data sensitivity, secure input and output handling, and engineering security expectations.
- Familiarity with agentic coding workflows, GitHub Copilot, Amazon CodeWhisperer, and generative AI fundamentals for developer productivity.
- Knowledge of software applications and technical processes in a technical discipline such as cloud, artificial intelligence, or machine learning.
- Familiarity with modern front-end technologies is preferred.
- Exposure to cloud technologies is preferred.
