Base Salary

Responsibilities
- Architect, design, and develop scalable Java/JEE microservices with Spring Boot and Spring Cloud.
- Lead event-driven service development using Apache Kafka, including producers, consumers, streaming patterns, and schema evolution.
- Own RESTful API strategy, JSON modeling, versioning, and API governance.
- Mentor engineers and contribute to design reviews, engineering standards, and coding practices.
- Design ETL pipelines and lead legacy-to-cloud or system-to-system data migration efforts.
- Establish data quality, profiling, governance, validation, reconciliation, and lifecycle management practices.
- Integrate services with EHR systems using HL7 v2, FHIR, SMART on FHIR, and healthcare APIs.
- Deploy and operate services on GCP using GKE, Cloud Run, Cloud Build, Cloud SQL, Pub/Sub, IAM, and Secret Manager.
- Build CI/CD automation and drive secure coding, threat modeling, dependency scanning, container hardening, and secrets management.
- Implement observability using tracing, dashboards, alerts, and service-level objectives, while collaborating with compliance and security teams.
Requirements
- At least 5 years of professional software engineering experience.
- At least 5 years developing applications with Java/JEE, Spring Boot, Spring Cloud, and RESTful microservices.
- At least 3 years of Apache Kafka experience.
- At least 3 years of CI/CD pipelines, Git workflows, and automated testing.
- At least 3 years of Docker, Kubernetes, and cloud orchestration experience.
- At least 2 years of hands-on cloud experience with GCP, AWS, or Azure.
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience; a high school diploma plus 4 years of relevant experience is also accepted.
- Preferred experience includes FHIR, HL7 v2, EHR integrations, GCP services, system modernization, data migration, ETL, Spring Batch, Dataflow, SQL/NoSQL, and healthcare data environments.
- Preferred knowledge includes OAuth 2.0/OIDC, TLS, security practices, HIPAA, HITRUST, schema design, indexing, performance tuning, and migrations.
- Preferred candidates can lead complex technical initiatives and mentor junior developers.
