Base Salary

$87k - $149k/yr

Responsibilities

  • Design and execute performance tests using LoadRunner, JMeter, and Gatling across AWS and on-premise environments.
  • Create, maintain, and enhance LoadRunner scripts, test scenarios, and script repositories.
  • Analyze performance results, identify bottlenecks and anomalies, and prepare findings reports and trend dashboards.
  • Develop performance test automation scripts in Python and Java and integrate regression testing into CI/CD pipelines.
  • Create parameterized test data and document test procedures, expected results, baselines, and results.
  • Work with DevOps and infrastructure teams to establish and validate multi-region test environments.
  • Correlate performance results with Splunk, Dynatrace, and AppDynamics monitoring data.
  • Execute failover and disaster recovery testing across primary, secondary, and tertiary regions.
  • Validate RTO/RPO metrics, SLAs, regulatory requirements, replication lag, data consistency, Kafka topic replication, and region-switch behavior.
  • Present test results, trends, and findings to Quality Engineering leadership.

Requirements

  • At least 3 years of hands-on performance testing experience, including LoadRunner, JMeter, or similar tools.
  • At least 2 years of designing and executing failover or disaster recovery testing in cloud or hybrid environments.
  • Proficiency in LoadRunner scripting and test scenario creation, or strong hands-on JMeter or Gatling experience.
  • Scripting experience in Python or Java for test automation and data generation.
  • Experience with AWS, Kafka, relational databases, performance regression frameworks, APM platforms, and CI/CD pipelines.
  • Experience with SQL Server, Oracle, or DB2 and the ability to write queries for test data and validation.
  • Experience testing multi-region architectures or distributed systems with performance validation.
  • Proficiency with Linux command-line tools and basic Linux operating system knowledge.
  • Experience with Jira, Zephyr, SpiraTest, or similar test management and issue tracking tools.
  • Bachelor of Science degree in Computer Science or Engineering, or equivalent practical experience.
  • Preferred qualifications include performance testing or AWS certification, Kubernetes, UC4/Automic, API testing with Postman or RestAssured, ETL and Tableau testing, AWS architecture knowledge, and Kafka cluster administration or tuning.
  • Experience with options and futures, financial systems, clearing, settlement, or highly regulated low-latency environments is preferred.
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, communication, documentation, judgment, and time-management skills, plus Agile and Jenkins pipeline experience.
