Base Salary
$157k - $215k/yr
Responsibilities
- Design, develop, troubleshoot, and review secure, high-quality production software.
- Build full-stack applications using React, TypeScript, Java, Spring Boot, GraphQL, and related technologies.
- Monitor application performance and scalability across diverse hardware, software, and configuration environments.
- Advise teams on performance engineering, scalability, resiliency, and operational stability.
- Plan performance benchmarks and develop tools to automate performance measurement and analysis.
- Influence business, product, technology, and senior stakeholders across multiple teams.
- Lead responsible adoption and validation of enterprise-authorized AI-assisted development tools.
- Coach engineers on secure, compliant, and effective use of AI-assisted engineering workflows.
Requirements
- Formal training or certification in software engineering concepts and at least 5 years of applied experience.
- Hands-on experience with system design, application development, testing, and operational stability.
- Advanced proficiency in one or more of React, TypeScript, Java, Spring Boot, and microservices-based application development.
- Practical experience with JavaScript, Redux, Redux Toolkit, GraphQL, HTML5, CSS3, and REST API integration.
- Experience with React Router, Module Federation, and microfrontend architecture.
- Experience with AWS services including ECS, EKS, Lambda, S3, EC2, Kafka, and NLB, along with databases.
- Experience leading the use of approved AI-assisted software development tools and validating their outputs for correctness, performance, and security.
- Understanding of responsible AI use, data sensitivity, secure input and output handling, resiliency, and security expectations.
- Proficiency across the software development life cycle and advanced understanding of agile methodologies, application resiliency, and security.
- In-depth knowledge of the financial services industry and its IT systems.
- Preferred: familiarity with modern front-end technologies, enterprise architecture, API and Kafka-enabled data sharing, case management workflow orchestration, and GitHub Copilot or similar developer assistant tools.
