Responsibilities
- Lead the development and implementation of full-stack solutions using modern frameworks and technologies.
- Build and maintain high-performance backend services with Java 21 and Spring Boot 4.x.
- Develop and extend Angular microfrontends using Module Federation.
- Design and operate a NestJS GraphQL BFF that resolves entitlements, orchestrates downstream service calls, and delivers persona-aware frontend data.
- Ensure code quality, security, and maintainability through best practices, code reviews, and automation pipelines.
- Troubleshoot, optimize, and enhance applications for performance and scalability.
- Investigate production issues by reviewing code and Splunk logs.
- Champion AI-assisted development across design, coding, testing, code review, documentation, and production support.
- Participate in Agile ceremonies and continuous improvement initiatives.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in computer science or a related discipline, or equivalent work experience; an advanced degree is preferred.
- At least 8 years of experience as a Java developer or programmer using application development toolkits and frontend and backend coding languages.
- Experience with Java 21, Spring Boot 4.x, JSON, SQL, and MongoDB or other unstructured databases.
- Understanding of JVM memory usage, performance testing and tuning, architecture, and design and architectural patterns.
- Experience with RESTful web services and multithreading concepts.
- Strong understanding of scalable microservices architecture, including previous Kafka experience.
- Experience implementing caching with Hazelcast or comparable technologies is a plus.
- Strong experience with SDLC and DevOps processes, including CI/CD tools and Git.
- Experience investigating production issues using code and Splunk logs.
