Responsibilities
- Integrate cameras, measurement and testing systems, controllers, ERP systems, and other peripheral devices into customer robot cells.
- Develop, test, maintain, and ensure the reliable long-term operation of software integrations in the field.
- Establish standards for universal industrial peripheral integration to support scalable product inclusion and recurring customer requests.
- Run projects from initial concept and proof of concept through stable customer solutions.
- Support field teams with technical troubleshooting remotely and on-site.
- Document solutions, create technician how-tos, and facilitate knowledge transfer within the team.
- Evaluate external components and introduce new technologies and concepts to address internal and customer needs.
Requirements
- Degree in Computer Science, Mechatronics, Electrical Engineering, or a comparable qualification.
- Excellent knowledge of Python.
- Experience with hardware-level programming such as C or C++.
- Experience integrating and controlling industrial equipment, ideally in automation or robotics.
- Systems thinking, a hands-on approach, pragmatic problem-solving, and the ability to explain technical issues clearly to non-technical stakeholders.
- Strong collaboration and communication skills for working across departments and stakeholder groups.
- Willingness to visit customers on-site and deploy software in real-world environments.
