Responsibilities
- Design, develop, test, maintain, and support scalable enterprise applications.
- Build backend services, microservices, and APIs using Java 17+ and Spring Boot/Spring Framework.
- Design distributed and event-driven applications and integrate them with databases, messaging platforms, and enterprise systems.
- Design database solutions, data models, queries, and data access layers, including performance optimization.
- Develop and deploy cloud-native applications and services.
- Apply object-oriented design, design patterns, automated testing, code quality, and secure development practices.
- Contribute to deployment automation, logging, monitoring, observability, troubleshooting, production support, and performance optimization.
- Participate in solution design, code reviews, and collaboration with engineering, architecture, product, and cross-functional teams.
Requirements
- Require 6–9 years of professional software development experience with significant hands-on Java backend development.
- Require strong hands-on experience with Java 17+ and Spring Boot/Spring Framework.
- Require strong experience designing and developing APIs and microservices.
- Require experience with Hibernate/JPA or comparable persistence frameworks.
- Require strong relational database and SQL experience, including database design, complex queries, and performance optimization.
- Require knowledge of object-oriented programming, SOLID principles, and design patterns.
- Require unit and integration testing experience using tools such as JUnit and Mockito.
- Require experience with Git, cloud environments, scalability, resiliency, security, performance, monitoring, and production support.
- Prefer a bachelor's or master's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related technical field, or equivalent practical experience.
- Prefer hands-on experience with GCP and relevant cloud-native application patterns.
- Prefer experience with Kafka, Google Cloud Pub/Sub, Docker, Kubernetes, GKE, distributed systems, event-driven systems, NoSQL databases, logging, monitoring, observability, and application performance management.
- Prefer working knowledge of React, JavaScript/TypeScript, HTML5, CSS3, frontend integration, automated deployment, and DevOps practices.
