Responsibilities
- Own the design and implementation of a multi-sensor robotics and state-estimation framework.
- Develop tightly coupled fusion architectures for streaming camera, radar, and IMU data.
- Implement production-ready SLAM, localization, odometry, calibration, and autonomous-navigation algorithms.
- Target robust four-nines reliability in defined real-world driving conditions.
- Optimize algorithms for real-time latency, memory, throughput, and production scalability.
- Collaborate with embedded teams on stable interfaces and system integration.
- Lead architectural discussions, evaluate tradeoffs, quantify technical risks, and define development milestones.
Requirements
- MSc in Robotics, Computer Vision, Electrical Engineering, or a related field.
- Strong foundation in linear algebra, probability, estimation theory, optimization, and 3D geometry.
- Strong understanding of sensor fusion, localization, state estimation, Kalman filtering, and factor graph optimization.
- Strong software engineering skills in Python and C++.
- Experience designing, implementing, and debugging complex robotics systems.
- Ability to lead architectural discussions and make technical tradeoffs.
- Preferred: PhD in Robotics, Computer Vision, Electrical Engineering, or a related field.
- Preferred: experience deploying SLAM, localization, odometry, or calibration algorithms on real robotics platforms.
- Preferred: experience with tightly coupled visual, inertial, and radar fusion.
- Preferred: practical and theoretical understanding of sensor noise, synchronization, observability, degeneracy, and failure modes.
