Base Salary

Responsibilities
- Lead end-to-end design and development of modular commerce applications using Java and Spring Boot microservices.
- Drive microservice architecture decisions for loosely coupled, independently deployable, reliable, maintainable, and high-performing services.
- Implement reusable server-side code covering domain models, business logic, and commerce integration patterns.
- Coordinate backend services and frontend interfaces to support seamless user journeys and consistent data flows.
- Optimize application performance through profiling, database tuning, and service communication improvements.
- Configure and extend APIs and integration components for secure and efficient commerce data exchange.
- Apply secure coding practices including input validation, access control, and data protection.
- Guide build, testing, and deployment pipeline activities for frequent and reliable releases.
- Collaborate with product owners, architects, testers, and developers to translate business goals into technical solutions.
- Mentor less experienced engineers through code reviews, design discussions, and pair programming.
- Coordinate defect analysis, root-cause identification, corrective actions, and prevention of recurring issues.
- Document technical designs, service contracts, and operational runbooks.
- Participate in hybrid collaboration ceremonies including standups, planning, refinement, and retrospectives.
Requirements
- Eight to twelve years of professional software development experience, including significant enterprise Java application experience.
- Deep hands-on expertise with Spring Boot microservices, including service design, dependency management, configuration management, and enterprise integration.
- Advanced knowledge of core Java and related frameworks for building robust, object-oriented, testable, and maintainable components.
- Experience with commerce full-stack engineering integrating backend services, frontend layers, and data stores for end-to-end transaction flows.
- Knowledge of relational or NoSQL databases, query optimization, and transaction handling.
- Understanding of unit testing, integration testing, and automated regression testing strategies.
- Familiarity with version control workflows, branching strategies, and code review processes.
- Ability to communicate effectively with technical and non-technical stakeholders.
