Responsibilities
- Lead technical discovery and establish architecture blueprints connecting Temenos Transact with middleware, payment gateways, trade and custody systems, and cloud data infrastructure.
- Oversee TAFJ runtime, application server, database, and environment parameter setup for the Initial System Build.
- Review real-time and batch integration architecture across more than 20 interfaces, including IRIS, Temenos Data Hub, AWS MSK, OFS queues, and transaction-processing frameworks.
- Support high availability, RPO/RTO, transaction-throughput, lock-contention, and Close of Business performance requirements.
- Define security standards for token propagation, role-based access control, payload encryption, audit logging, and audit-trail extraction.
- Govern technical gaps and ensure custom TAFJ/Java plugins, processors, and code extensions follow Temenos standards and preserve upgradeability.
- Validate Client Configuration Environment and initial-build setups while managing technical risks and dependencies.
- Prepare technical solution architecture documentation and present recommendations to enterprise architecture boards.
Requirements
- Expert-level knowledge of Temenos Transact technology architecture and TAFJ, with experience in Amazon cloud deployments.
- Deep expertise in IRIS REST, Integration Framework, Design Studio, and Temenos Data Hub.
- Hands-on knowledge of Apache Kafka or AWS MSK, enterprise service buses, payment-gateway abstraction layers, and microservices design patterns.
- In-depth understanding of PostgreSQL, connection pooling, thread locking, indexing, and Close of Business batch optimization.
- Knowledge of Transact event notification frameworks, ISO 20022 XML formats including pacs, camt, and pain, and regulatory data pipelines.
- Ability to collaborate with bank architecture teams and author technical solution architecture documents and blueprints.
- At least 16 years of progressive technical experience in enterprise banking software architecture.
- At least 8 years of experience acting as a Lead Technical Architect on major Temenos Transact implementation projects.
- Track record of delivering architecture blueprints and design sign-offs for core transformation programs.
