Responsibilities

  • Deploy, configure, maintain, and troubleshoot observability platforms covering metrics, logs, distributed traces, and events.
  • Implement OpenTelemetry collectors, SDK integrations, instrumentation, and telemetry data pipelines.
  • Monitor telemetry ingestion and storage and support sampling and retention strategies.
  • Automate observability instrumentation and configuration using infrastructure-as-code and CI/CD pipelines.
  • Respond to alerts, monitor platform health, troubleshoot production observability issues, and integrate platforms with enterprise systems.
  • Support observability strategies for LLM applications, including model performance, prompt evaluation, token usage, and inference latency monitoring.
  • Complete installation, maintenance, and operational documentation.

Requirements

  • At least 5 years of experience in DevOps, platform engineering, or SRE roles with exposure to telemetry and observability concepts.
  • Working knowledge of observability tools and stacks including Dynatrace, Splunk, Grafana, DataDog, Elastic/ELK, Fluent Bit, Vector, and Cribl.
  • Familiarity with Terraform, Ansible, or Helm for automated provisioning and configuration management.
  • Basic knowledge of OpenTelemetry concepts, collectors, and instrumentation principles.
  • Strong analytical and systematic debugging skills for distributed systems and telemetry pipelines.
  • Interest or prior exposure to AI-native observability for production AI systems and platforms such as Langfuse, Langsmith, or Arize.
