Responsibilities
- Design large-scale distributed systems and services for high availability, scalability, and performance.
- Lead complex features and systems through design, development, deployment, and ongoing operation.
- Translate ambiguous product requirements into technical designs and execution plans.
- Guide architecture decisions involving scalability, reliability, cost, security, and maintainability.
- Implement monitoring, alerting, observability, testing, coding standards, and CI/CD practices.
- Participate in on-call support and resolve complex production issues across systems and dependencies.
- Collaborate across teams to support quality telemetry data workflows.
- Use data-driven metrics to evaluate experiments and introduce innovative concepts.
- Mentor technical colleagues and promote technical excellence and professional development.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Software Engineering, or equivalent experience.
- 8+ years of professional software development experience.
- High proficiency in C# and .NET with the ability to write maintainable production-grade code.
- Experience designing and building scalable backend systems, APIs, and backend services.
- Experience with low-level process debugging, debug symbols, operating systems, compilers, or information security is an asset.
- Experience with large-scale build and release systems or developer platforms.
- Experience with system reliability, observability, performance optimization, and CI/CD workflows.
- Experience with relational, NoSQL, or columnar databases, data modeling, and Entity Framework.
- Strong problem-solving, communication, collaboration, and technical leadership skills.
- Preferred experience with Python, C++, Rust, AWS, GCP, Azure, OAuth2, OIDC, Docker, Kubernetes, and AI-driven coding or workflow tools.
