Base Salary
$113k - $183k/yr
Responsibilities
- Develop simulation logic and behavioral models governing machine and system behavior.
- Create high-fidelity 3D models, scenes, and environments using NVIDIA Omniverse, USD, and Omniverse Kit-based pipelines.
- Develop and execute validation and verification plans for models and digital twins.
- Integrate simulation components with Caterpillar models, data systems, digital twin frameworks, and external simulation engines.
- Design toolchains and pipelines containing scripting utilities, automated test frameworks, and modular code libraries.
- Integrate multiple digital-twin platforms and simulation ecosystems into unified digital-twin experiences.
- Evaluate emerging tools and frameworks and provide guidance on development workbench selection and usage.
- Conduct development walkthroughs, monitor quality, estimate development costs, and consult on software integration activities.
Requirements
- Experience developing simulation logic, behavioral models, digital twins, or related software systems.
- Experience with real-time 3D visualization, NVIDIA Omniverse, USD, and Omniverse Kit-based pipelines.
- Knowledge of software integration processes, interfaces, alternative platforms, and software packages.
- Knowledge of software development life cycle practices for delivering and managing software products.
- Ability to communicate complex technical concepts clearly and manage multiple priorities.
- Ability to apply strategic thinking and influence technical decisions through expertise.
