Base Salary
$146k - $218k/yr
Responsibilities
- Develop core systems and APIs that power Openly’s user experiences in collaboration with internal and external partners.
- Build internal tooling and APIs that make business and engineering processes easier, faster, and safer.
- Implement systemic changes to align existing systems with architectural goals.
- Integrate external services for payments, documents, and claims.
- Integrate data providers supplying real-time property characteristics and risk profile information.
- Provide subject matter expertise, mentorship, and support to teammates.
- Participate in architectural discussions and decisions concerning system design, deployment, technologies, and policies.
- Contribute to operational decisions involving microservices, monoliths, and deployment techniques.
- Participate in daily stand-ups, weekly one-on-ones, and biweekly retrospectives.
Requirements
- At least four years of professional or production experience developing backend web-stack applications.
- Professional experience using Go, including completion of a Go code challenge during the interview process.
- A sustained record of improving business-critical systems for stability, performance, and scalability.
- Ability to deliver complete systems end to end with little or no supervision.
- Strong interpersonal and technical communication skills, including explaining complex concepts to non-technical audiences.
- Prior billing or payment system management experience is highly preferred.
- Must be currently authorized to work full-time in the United States without employer visa sponsorship.
