Base Salary
$146k - $218k/yr
Responsibilities
- Design, build, test, and maintain backend services and technology for Openly’s insurance platform.
- Collaborate with internal and external partners to develop core systems and APIs for customer experiences.
- Build internal tooling and APIs that improve business and engineering processes.
- Implement systemic changes to align existing systems with architectural goals.
- Integrate external services for payments, documents, and claims.
- Integrate data providers supplying real-time property and risk information.
- Provide subject matter expertise, mentorship, and team support.
- Participate in architectural discussions and decisions involving system design, deployment techniques, technologies, and policies.
- Participate in team stand-ups, one-on-ones, and retrospectives.
Requirements
- At least 4 years of professional or production experience developing backend web-stack applications.
- Professional experience using Go, including completion of a Go code challenge during the interview process.
- A sustained track record of improving business-critical systems for stability, performance, and scalability.
- Ability to deliver complete systems from start to finish with little or no supervision.
- Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to explain complex technical concepts to non-technical audiences.
- Prior billing or payment systems management experience is highly preferred.
- Applicants must be authorized to work full-time in the United States, and the company does not provide employer visa sponsorship.
