Responsibilities
- Design, code, test, debug, and document software for core banking technology projects and programs.
- Lead moderately complex initiatives, technical projects, escalations, and deliverables within the software engineering domain.
- Contribute to large-scale technical strategy and planning, including upgrades and deployments.
- Evaluate and resolve moderately complex technical challenges involving technologies and procedures.
- Provide guidance and direction to less experienced staff and collaborate with developers, operations teams, managers, and other stakeholders.
- Build and support enterprise capabilities for customer account ledgers and transaction processing.
Requirements
- At least 4 years of software engineering experience, or equivalent demonstrated through work experience, training, military experience, or education.
- Experience with Java, Spring Boot, and software frameworks.
- Experience developing or implementing low-latency systems, multicast messaging frameworks, multithreaded systems, and distributed caching.
- Experience building scalable streaming solutions and real-time data processing with technologies such as Kafka and Flink.
- Experience with CI/CD pipelines, Kubernetes containerization, microservices, and software design patterns.
- Knowledge of relational and document databases, including Oracle, SQL Server, MySQL, and MongoDB.
- Experience working in the banking domain, with GitHub Copilot, Karate test automation, and observability tools such as Grafana, Splunk, and AppDynamics.
- Experience with large-volume data processing and big data technologies such as Apache Spark, SQL, Scala, and Hadoop.
- Experience with Agile Scrum practices and strong communication and collaboration skills.
