Responsibilities
- Build scalable microservices and data-driven platforms for Apple Ads.
- Design and develop backend distributed systems with high-scale performance.
- Create solutions using public cloud technologies and APIs.
- Work with relational and non-relational datastores and data-processing technologies.
- Debug systems and solve complex engineering problems in a fast-paced environment.
Requirements
- At least 2 years of industry experience building scalable microservices or data-driven platforms.
- Strong computer science fundamentals and expertise in backend distributed systems.
- Experience with object-oriented programming such as Java or C++.
- Familiarity with cloud paradigms such as AWS or GCP and experience using public cloud technologies and APIs.
- Strong understanding of microservice design and high-scale performance tuning.
- Expertise with relational and non-relational datastores.
- Proficiency in data-processing technologies such as Kafka, Spark, or Flink.
- Bachelor's degree in computer science or engineering, or equivalent experience.
- A master's degree is preferred.
- Five or more years of software engineering experience and Java proficiency are preferred.
- Advertising industry experience is a plus.
