Responsibilities
- Configure, extend, and maintain complex distributed Java projects and web applications.
- Define technical requirements and architectural approaches for custom client integrations.
- Develop testable Java code for custom extensions and integrations.
- Diagnose performance and integration issues and provide code-level solutions.
- Advocate for maintainable engineering practices aligned with the core product roadmap.
- Mentor and coach team members on software development and technical consulting practices.
- Provide second-tier support for live clients and participate in L2 on-call rotation.
- Advise clients on platform installation, configuration, upgrades, production maintenance, machine and instance status, logs, and monitoring dashboards.
Requirements
- Bachelor of Science or Master of Science in Computer Science, a comparable degree, or equivalent work experience.
- At least 3 years of Java software development experience.
- Deep understanding of cloud environments, particularly AWS, and strong knowledge of Kubernetes in cloud environments.
- Ability to investigate issues using monitoring tools such as Amazon CloudWatch.
- Understanding of thread and JVM memory management in high-performance systems.
- Availability for L2 on-call rotation.
- Excellent written and verbal English communication skills.
- Experience with Zookeeper, RabbitMQ, Cassandra, Ansible, Docker, and databases is preferred.
