Base Salary
$198k - $235k/yr
Responsibilities
- Design, build, and maintain scalable backend services for Strava's identity platform.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to establish identity foundations for safety and privacy.
- Drive technical excellence and contribute to long-term identity strategies.
- Mentor and support fellow engineers in a collaborative environment.
- Influence system design and lead discussions on security, performance, and scalability.
Requirements
- 7+ years of professional software development experience in backend engineering.
- Proficiency in at least one of Strava's core backend languages (Ruby, Java, Scala, Python, or Go).
- Experience with relational and NoSQL databases in production environments.
- Solid understanding of distributed systems and technologies like Kafka, Kubernetes, and Docker.
- Experience or eagerness to learn about authentication and identity protocols.
