Base Salary

Responsibilities
- Architect, design, and implement scalable, fault-tolerant cloud-native services using container orchestration and automated delivery pipelines.
- Apply advanced software engineering practices, including secure coding, automated testing, observability, code quality controls, and continuous delivery.
- Troubleshoot and lead resolution of distributed-system issues involving data consistency, dependencies, performance, and distributed tracing.
- Define technical roadmaps, functional and non-functional requirements, prioritization, and measurable engineering and business KPIs with stakeholders.
- Design and enforce microservice resiliency patterns such as circuit breakers, bulkheads, retries, rate limiting, and service discovery.
- Build and optimize real-time streaming data pipelines using event-streaming platforms and CDC frameworks.
- Deliver cost-optimized solutions through cloud cost profiling, storage tiering, right-sizing, and architectural simplification.
- Own platform reliability, performance, lifecycle, production support, automated recovery, modernization, and refactoring.
- Lead technical risk assessments, architectural reviews, compliance validation, and engineering audit activities.
- Mentor engineers, provide architectural guidance, conduct design reviews, and establish engineering standards.
Requirements
- 7+ years of software development experience in enterprise, web, or cloud applications.
- 5+ years of backend software development experience with Java, Spring Boot, and Kafka.
- 3+ years of distributed caching experience.
- 3+ years of experience developing in AWS, GCP, Azure, or similar public cloud environments; GCP is preferred.
- 3+ years of experience designing, developing, and operationalizing microservices-based web or web services applications in cloud-native environments.
- 3+ years of technical lead experience in a matrixed environment, including mentoring junior engineers and collaborating across architecture and product teams.
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience; a high school diploma plus 4 years of relevant experience is also accepted.
- Preferred experience includes security and regulatory requirements involving HIPAA, PHI, PII, locational, and contractual data restrictions.
- Preferred experience includes Maven, Gradle, Jenkins, Harness, Cassandra, Postgres, automated testing frameworks, and test-driven development.
- Experience with functional, imperative, and object-oriented languages and Scrum/Agile methodologies is preferred.
