Responsibilities
- Architect, develop, and deliver resilient, scalable systems for music supply chain applications.
- Design and maintain data integrations across upstream and downstream applications, including ingestion, transformation, and delivery pipelines.
- Lead architectural design and implementation for large projects, resolve critical bugs, and enforce technical standards.
- Own development projects spanning multiple components and teams while ensuring scalability and maintainability.
- Mentor senior engineers and facilitate collaboration among engineering, product management, QA, design, and other stakeholders.
- Drive technical strategy, innovation, knowledge sharing, and alignment across teams.
- Implement data processing, API, streaming, messaging, observability, and automation capabilities.
Requirements
- 7+ years of experience in software engineering, with a track record of delivering production-grade applications.
- Strong Python programming skills and knowledge of object-oriented and functional programming paradigms.
- Hands-on Apache Spark experience with Avro, Parquet, JSON, and other large-scale data processing formats.
- Advanced SQL expertise covering data modeling, schema design, relational databases, query optimization, and performance tuning.
- Experience with Databricks, Snowflake, Apache Airflow or similar orchestration tools, and ETL/ELT pipeline design.
- Experience with GitLab, CI/CD pipelines, Docker, Kubernetes, Linux, and Bash scripting.
- Strong cloud experience, preferably AWS, including services such as S3, RDS, Lambda, SQS, SNS, and VPC.
- Understanding of data lakehouse, microservices, data governance, security, logging, monitoring, and alerting practices.
- Experience integrating RESTful and GraphQL APIs and working with Kafka, Kinesis, Pub/Sub, or similar streaming and messaging frameworks.
- Excellent communication, collaboration, problem-solving, time management, and organizational skills.
- Experience working in Agile environments with iterative development, sprint planning, and continuous improvement.
- Preferred: bachelor's degree in computer science, information systems, software, electrical, or electronics engineering, or a comparable field, or equivalent work experience.
- Preferred experience with advanced AWS services and infrastructure management, Kafka, Apache Airflow, Databricks, Snowflake, PostgreSQL, and serverless computing.
