Responsibilities
- Design, develop, troubleshoot, review, and debug secure, high-quality production software.
- Lead adoption and validation of approved AI-assisted engineering practices for coding, code review, testing, troubleshooting, and incident analysis.
- Identify and automate remediation of recurring issues to improve application and system stability.
- Lead architecture and technology evaluation sessions with vendors, startups, and internal teams.
- Design and develop distributed Java systems and event-driven microservices using Spring technologies and messaging or streaming systems.
Requirements
- Formal training or certification in software engineering concepts and 5+ years of applied experience.
- Hands-on experience with system design, application development, testing, and operational stability.
- Advanced proficiency in one or more programming languages and all aspects of the Software Development Life Cycle.
- Experience designing and developing distributed systems using Java.
- Experience building RESTful and event-driven microservices using Spring Boot or Spring Cloud.
- Knowledge of asynchronous communication using Kafka, RabbitMQ, or equivalent technologies.
- Experience leading approved AI-assisted software development practices and validating AI outputs for correctness, performance, and security.
- Understanding of responsible AI use, data sensitivity, secure input and output handling, resiliency, and security expectations.
- Practical cloud-native experience is preferred.
- Familiarity with modern front-end technologies is preferred.
