Responsibilities
- Design, develop, troubleshoot, and deliver secure, scalable production software solutions.
- Review and debug code written by other engineers while promoting secure coding, peer review, and automated testing standards.
- Lead responsible adoption and validation of AI-assisted software development tools for coding, code review, testing, troubleshooting, and root-cause analysis.
- Build Java-based distributed systems and Spring Boot/Spring Cloud microservices using asynchronous messaging and streaming systems.
- Identify and automate remediation of recurring issues to improve software and application operational stability.
- Evaluate vendor, startup, and internal architectural designs, technical credentials, and applicability to existing systems.
Requirements
- Formal training or certification in software engineering concepts and 5+ years of applied experience.
- Hands-on experience with system design, application development, testing, and operational stability.
- Experience designing and developing distributed systems using Java.
- Experience leading the effective use of approved AI-assisted software development tools and validating their outputs for correctness, performance, and security.
- Knowledge of responsible AI practices, data sensitivity, secure input/output handling, resiliency, and security expectations.
- Experience building microservices with Spring Boot/Spring Cloud and using Kafka, RabbitMQ, or equivalent messaging/streaming systems.
- Advanced understanding of agile methodologies, application resiliency, and security.
- In-depth knowledge of the financial services industry and its IT systems.
- Practical cloud-native experience and familiarity with modern frontend technologies are preferred.
