Responsibilities
- Support development and deployment of AWS cloud infrastructure, especially EKS.
- Support development and deployment of on-premise and portable edge infrastructure.
- Automate deployment processes and maintain the reliability and scalability of services.
- Manage Kubernetes containers and AWS cloud infrastructure.
- Collaborate with development teams to integrate applications into infrastructure.
- Monitor and troubleshoot production systems and resolve issues.
- Improve processes and tools to support high availability and performance.
Requirements
- Current TS/SCI U.S. government security clearance and U.S. citizenship are required.
- Requires 5+ years of DevOps Engineering or Software Development experience with a bachelor's degree, 3 years of relevant experience with a master's degree, or a high school diploma/equivalent with 9 years of relevant experience.
- Must be able and willing to help open or close the workspace during regular business hours as needed.
- Must work onsite in San Antonio, Texas five days per week and accommodate schedule changes.
- Requires strong knowledge of Kubernetes or other container orchestration platforms and AWS services including EKS, EC2, EBS, S3, and Lambda.
- Requires proficiency with Terraform, Ansible, Linux system administration, and troubleshooting.
- Requires development ability in Python, Bash, or Go and familiarity with Git and Flux.
- Requires experience with application, container, and operating-system deployment, scaling, and management.
- Requires problem-solving, communication, and software development process skills.
- Requires demonstrated experience serving as a technical lead, mentor, or manager for engineering teams.
- Experience with Hadoop, Accumulo, Ceph, Spark, NiFi, Kafka, PostgreSQL, Elasticsearch, Hive, Drill, Impala, Trino, or Presto is desired.
- Experience with containers, EKS, Diode, CI/CD, and Terraform is a plus.
