Responsibilities
- Drive the evolution of the next-generation timekeeping platform.
- Build, run, and improve core backend systems.
- Take end-to-end ownership of systems.
- Lead work across the full development lifecycle.
- Ship code that impacts Toast’s growth and restaurant operations.
- Partner with product and design teams.
- Contribute to team standards through code reviews.
- Mentor and provide technical guidance to team members.
Requirements
- 5+ years of back-end experience with object-oriented programming languages.
- Experience owning and operating production systems.
- Track record of delivering scalable solutions to high-impact challenges.
- Ability to learn quickly and apply knowledge to solve problems.
- Motivation to take on challenging projects at scale.
