Responsibilities
- Define and drive internationalization approaches and quality standards across the engineering organization.
- Design, build, deploy, and maintain scalable features for Toast’s products.
- Evolve existing products to meet global market needs.
- Collaborate with UX and PM on feature design and definition.
- Plan and estimate work with the team.
- Work with internal teams and pilot customers to deliver international-ready products.
- Build core features into the Point of Sale system.
- Mentor and coach other engineers.
Requirements
- High proficiency in Kotlin, Java, or another object-oriented language with a strong understanding of testing and quality best practices.
- Experience working with Android systems.
- Ability to create user-friendly solutions for complex business problems at scale.
- Familiarity with API principles such as REST.
- Passion for building well-engineered, usable, and accessible systems.
- Desire to make users happy and see products in use.
- Agile mindset focused on delivering usable software.
- Adaptability to changing environments.
