Base Salary
$142k - $190k/yr
Responsibilities
- Design, write, test, and deploy reliable and maintainable software solutions.
- Build scalable content workflows, data pipelines, and platform services for media-centric workflows, including transformations, video processing, media security, and content management.
- Collaborate with platform engineers, product teams, and stakeholders to align technical solutions with business and content goals.
- Monitor, support, and optimize production systems for stability, performance, and uptime.
- Provide technical guidance and mentorship to junior engineers.
Requirements
- At least 5 years of relevant industry experience.
- Bachelor’s degree in computer science or a comparable field of study, and/or equivalent work experience.
- Proficiency building backend services with Node.js, preferably using TypeScript.
- Experience with REST APIs, AWS core services, build and deployment technologies, containers, orchestration, event streaming, messaging systems, and multiple data stores.
- Understanding of software design principles, algorithms, data structures, application development practices, unit testing, code reviews, and documentation.
- Preferred qualifications include experience with large-scale Node.js production systems, media workflows using FFmpeg or MediaInfo, event-based asynchronous processing, AI-driven production integrations, and media or entertainment technology.
- Strong oral and written communication skills and experience working in Agile/Scrum environments.
