Responsibilities
- Partner with customers to design scalable data architectures using Databricks technology and services.
- Develop account strategies and establish Databricks Lakehouse architecture as customers’ standard data architecture.
- Build and present reference architectures and demo applications for prospects.
- Consult on big data architectures, data engineering pipelines, and data science or machine learning projects.
- Prove out Databricks technology for strategic customer projects and validate integrations with cloud services and third-party applications.
- Promote Databricks open-source projects through meetups, conferences, and webinars.
- Represent customer needs across Databricks and collaborate with account executives, technical stakeholders, and executive leadership.
Requirements
- At least 4 years of experience in a customer-facing pre-sales, technical architecture, or consulting role.
- Expertise in at least one area including big data engineering, data warehousing and ETL, data science and machine learning, or data applications.
- Experience translating business needs into technology solutions and establishing stakeholder buy-in.
- Experience designing, architecting, and presenting data systems and managing delivery of production data architecture solutions.
- Fluency in SQL and database technology.
- Debugging and development experience in Python, Scala, Java, or R.
- Experience building solutions with AWS, Azure, or GCP is desired.
- A degree in a quantitative discipline such as Computer Science, Applied Mathematics, or Operations Research is desired.
- Ability to travel to customers in the region up to 50% of the time.
