Base Salary

$157k - $215k/yr

Responsibilities

  • Design, develop, troubleshoot, and maintain software solutions for complex business challenges.
  • Write secure, high-quality production code and review code from team members.
  • Develop and maintain applications using Python and AWS.
  • Lead architectural design sessions and provide technical guidance for on-premises and cloud systems.
  • Create and review architecture and design deliverables.
  • Automate remediation of recurring issues to improve system stability.
  • Lead code reviews, design discussions, and agile planning sessions.
  • Develop data-processing pipelines and DAGs for machine learning or data workflows.
  • Integrate AI/ML solutions and models into domain-specific operations processing systems and production environments.
  • Collaborate with Site Reliability Engineering and monitoring teams to ensure system reliability and performance.
  • Promote adoption of new technologies through communities of practice and mentor junior engineers.
  • Foster a culture of diversity, equity, and respect within the team.

Requirements

  • Formal training or certification in software engineering concepts and 5+ years of applied experience.
  • Advanced proficiency in Python and strong experience building and running applications on AWS or other public cloud platforms.
  • Experience with system design, application development, testing, operational stability, automation, continuous delivery, and the full Software Development Life Cycle.
  • Experience with data-processing pipelines and Directed Acyclic Graphs for machine learning or data workflows.
  • Expertise in cloud, artificial intelligence, and machine learning technologies.
  • Understanding of IT systems in the financial services industry.
  • Experience with code reviews and agile methodologies.
  • Ability to communicate technical concepts clearly to technical and non-technical stakeholders.
  • Preferred experience with Terraform, containerized application development, Postgres, OpenSearch, S3, SageMaker, Bedrock, Kubernetes, EKS, Docker, Kafka, MLOps, LLMOps, and event-driven systems.
  • Knowledge of security best practices in cloud and application development.
  • Ability to mentor and guide junior engineers and participate in technology events or software engineering communities.
