Responsibilities
- Design, develop, troubleshoot, and maintain secure, high-quality software solutions across the software development lifecycle.
- Create architecture and design artifacts for complex applications and ensure design constraints are maintained.
- Analyze large and diverse datasets to identify patterns, create visualizations and reporting, and improve software quality and architecture.
- Use enterprise-authorized AI-assisted development tools for coding, refactoring, testing, and documentation while validating outputs through review, testing, and secure coding practices.
- Apply software development lifecycle tools and automation capabilities to improve delivery and engineering productivity.
- Support the quality, performance, resiliency, and operational stability of globally scaled systems.
- Contribute to an inclusive and respectful team culture.
Requirements
- Formal training or certification in software engineering concepts with proficient applied experience.
- Hands-on experience using enterprise-authorized AI-assisted software development tools and critically evaluating their outputs.
- Understanding of responsible AI use, data sensitivity, secure input and output handling, resiliency, and security expectations.
- Expertise with Java, Spring, and Spring Boot.
- Proficiency in Unix/Linux environments, including system navigation, process investigation, and log analysis.
- Practical experience with system design, application development, testing, and operational stability.
- Experience developing, debugging, and maintaining large-scale software using modern programming languages and database querying languages.
- Understanding of agile software development, continuous integration and delivery, application resiliency, and security practices.
- Knowledge of software applications and technical processes in a discipline such as cloud, artificial intelligence, machine learning, or mobile.
- Preferred: familiarity with modern front-end technologies and frameworks, cloud technologies, Splunk, Grafana, Apache Kafka, microservices architecture, and containerization technologies.
