Base Salary
$156k - $338k/yr
Responsibilities
- Solve large-scale AdTech problems using machine learning, transformer models, and statistical methods.
- Lead development of measurement platforms covering incrementality, attribution, data cleanroom measurement, partner integrations, and GenAI-powered reporting.
- Define technical direction, conduct design reviews, and align engineering strategy with business goals and engineering leadership.
- Troubleshoot business and production issues, coordinate support teams, execute action plans, and document resolutions.
- Provide technical leadership and mentorship while improving system performance, scalability, maintainability, quality, and operational readiness.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in computer science, computer engineering, computer information systems, software engineering, or a related area plus 6 years of software engineering experience, or 8 years of software engineering experience.
- 10+ years of experience in machine learning and data-intensive platform development.
- 4+ years of experience as a staff-plus technical lead.
- Experience with distributed data processing tools and databases such as Spark Streaming, Flink, Kafka, Ray, BigQuery, Druid, and Cassandra.
- Experience implementing statistical and machine learning methods for classification, regression, ranking, or recommendation.
- Experience with transformer-based model training and real-time inference on GPU-backed infrastructure.
- Familiarity with GenAI techniques including MCP, RAG, re-ranking, agent skills, progressive disclosure, context engineering, agent-to-agent protocols, and fine-tuning.
- Familiarity with PySpark, PyTorch, CUDA, and Triton.
- Experience collaborating with data scientists, machine learning engineers, and product managers.
- Experience in AdTech measurement and knowledge of the AdTech business.
- Preferred qualifications include a master’s degree plus 4 years of software engineering experience, a PhD, academic publications, patents, AdTech targeting or bidding experience, real-time streaming experience, query optimization knowledge, and distributed-systems knowledge.
- Knowledge of WCAG 2.2 AA standards, assistive technologies, and digital accessibility practices is valued.
