Responsibilities
- Lead the architecture, design, and development of enterprise-scale Java applications.
- Design and implement scalable, secure, and high-performing microservices.
- Define technical standards, coding guidelines, and engineering best practices.
- Lead and mentor backend developers through design reviews, code reviews, and technical coaching.
- Collaborate with Product Owners, Architects, DevOps, QA, and business stakeholders.
- Drive API strategy, integration design, and system interoperability.
- Ensure application performance, reliability, scalability, and security.
- Lead root cause analysis and resolution of production issues.
- Contribute to CI/CD pipeline improvements and DevOps adoption.
- Evaluate emerging technologies and recommend appropriate solutions.
- Participate in backlog refinement, sprint planning, and release management.
- Drive technical debt reduction and platform modernization initiatives.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Data Engineering, or a similar field, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
- 8–10 years of software development experience with Java.
- Strong expertise in Java 17+, Spring Boot, Spring Security, Hibernate, and microservices.
- Experience with REST APIs and event-driven architectures.
- Hands-on experience with Kafka or other messaging platforms.
- Strong knowledge of relational and NoSQL databases.
- Experience with Docker and Kubernetes.
- Experience deploying and supporting applications in Azure, AWS, or GCP.
- Proficiency with Jenkins or Azure DevOps.
- Understanding of system design, scalability, and performance tuning.
- Strong communication, stakeholder management, and leadership skills.
